The vanilla Islands in the tradeshow of Durban travel and tourism to discuss the current state of tourism in Africa

Pascal Viroleau, the Director of the vanilla Islands (Reunion, Seychelles, Madagascar, Mauritius, Comoros, Mayotte and the Maldives) was invited to participate in the ministerial round table at the opening of the trade fair of tourism and travel to Durban in South Africa which hosted the 5th edition of the Indaba May 10 12, 2014.
 
At the initiative of the South African Tourism Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk, the meeting allowed among other Ministers of participating Tourism (Seychelles, Zimbabwe, Gabon, Ghana, Lesotho, Zambia and Madagascar) discuss the current state of tourism in Africa in the wake of air routes and the political commitment around the tourism industry.
 
The Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, opened the proceedings by setting the target Africa to become the favorite travel destination in the world.
 
The Director of the vanilla Islands, Pascal Viroleau, inter alia, invited expressly all participants not to expect all countries to become tourist to unite around the promotion of this sector in Africa.
 
Regional and cooperation agencies should in his ally for the promotion of their destination with Africa as support.
 
For its part, the Seychelles Tourism Minister and president of the vanilla Islands, Alain Saint-Ange, recalled its desire to see "Africa talking to Africa".
