The Seychellois Ministry of Tourism organises for the second consecutive year the celebration of India to Seychelles from Friday to Sunday.

The second edition of the event will feature social projects.

The prize of the ambassador of culture will also be awarded to the Indian screenwriter composer Ilayaraja who has worked with the renowned London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Many Indian musicians will thus resonate the rhythms of their country in the heart of the archipelago during the three days of festivities.

The Minister of Tourism of Seychelles, Alain Saint Ange has highlighted the cultural diversity of the event.

As a reminder, cooking, music and Indian Bollywood celebrities had notably taken the upper hand for the delight of the Seychellois public for the first edition in 2013.

A photo exhibition on the life of the first five Indian settlers (Charvy, Moulia, Meinatte, Corinth and Domingo) came from the Malabar coast and landed in the Seychelles in 1770, had also traced the backdrop of Indian emigration to the Seychelles.
