The Reunion Island is getting ready for the Rally Mascarun!

Both educational events and inter network challenge of travel agencies, the first edition of the Rally Mascarun brings together twenty travel agents, sellers and producers, from France market. From 26 to 30 may 2014, five teams of four professionals crisscross the roads of Reunion Islands to develop their knowledge of Reunion Island tourist offer.

Twenty French tourism professionals arrive on Monday, May 26, 2014 at the island of Reunion to attend the Rally Mascarun. Aboard their car, the four members of each team will be meeting the of the Reunionese tourism stakeholders throughout the week.
Until May 30, 2014, participants are sporting and cultural challenges to enjoy passing the variety of landscapes and activities that made the meeting a unique place in the world. The selection of participants is made on the occasion of training online implemented by the Île de La Réunion Tourisme (IRT) in partnership with Amaryllis.
In order to accomplish their fly and drive, each team must follow a road map indicating the steps and actions to be carried out. The teams will also have to fill in a log book in which shall be recorded their daily experiences in the island of the Reunion.
The rally Mascarun 2014 is organised by the IRT in partnership with the regional airline Air Austral, Gîtes de France Reunion, the Tour Hebdo magazine and with the support of Enterprise Citer, Exsel Hotels, Clévacances, Helilagon and coral helicopter.
The objective of this event is primarily the development of knowledge of producers and sellers of travel in terms of Reunion tourism offer. These include to make them discover on one part, small accommodation facilities and restoration of the island, on the other hand, natural sites inscribed by UNESCO as World Heritage. Rally Mascarun is also an opportunity to meet vendors and stakeholders of local tourism.

Between tourist discovery, reflection and professional exchanges, moment of conviviality, this program allows the professionalisation of the actors who schedule and sell the Reunion destination. Through the highlighting of small structures of accommodation and catering, it is for the IRT to present to these vendors selling points that allow them to customize their offerings and thus meet the expectations of their clients.
With this first edition of the rally Mascarun IRT is part of a strategy of seasonal adjustment and diversification of customer.
