The Botswanan authorities want to ally with Mauritius around a tourist pole and development of a combined offer

The authorities of Botswana via their investment center on external markets, Botswana Investment and Trade Center (BITC), would like to propose to foreign tourists a combined offer Mauritian beaches and visiting historical sites of Botswana.
The first discussions between the two countries have already started and the opening of the airline between Piacenza and Gaborone should return to the national airline company Air Mauritius which currently says "study the question".
For their part, the leaders of the Botswana Tourism Board is confident on highlighting a partnership between the two countries constructed around the development of a tourist pole in itself is a feasible project, as reported in the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
"Bilateral discussions are already underway for an airline collaboration. It will grow further in the negotiations to make this project a reality," said Keletsositse Olebile, director of the Botswana Investment and Trade Center.
