A world class pro am

Following the success of the 2017 edition, the 2018 Vanilla Islands Pro Am kicked off this Saturday 8 December at the Mont Choisy Golf Club in Mauritius. After a 3-day stopover in the north of the island, the tournament will move on to the Tamarina Golf Estate and the Avalon Golf Estate next week.
When you think of world-class golf courses, Mauritius and the Indian Ocean immediately spring to mind.
This morning, some fifteen teams from France took over the Mont Choisy Golf Club with two aims in mind: to enjoy a holiday in the Indian Ocean and to indulge their passion for golf.
In order to expand the range of tourist attractions, several major players from Réunion and Mauritius joined forces to create a team competition with a strong spirit of camaraderie.
This tournament package allows teams of 4 people (3 amateurs and 1 professional) to share their love of golf. It is also an opportunity for professionals to provide valuable advice to their teams and help them better understand the courses.
As soon as they set foot on the green, the participants were dazzled by Mont Choisy. The sunny course, designed by Peter Matkovich, features a variety of landscapes, showcasing the unique black Mauritian volcanic rock throughout all 18 holes. Alongside the diverse vegetation, this exceptional course is also set apart by its ponds and bunkers.
All 60 participants got off to a great start, making the most of the glorious sunshine. From the chilly French winter to a sunny holiday: everyone's a winner!
