Seychelles on the spotlight at the United Nations for its sustainable tourism development

While 2014 has been declared international year of Small Island States (SIDS) in development by the United Nations, the last preparatory meeting of the third international conference on small island developing States, and which will take place in the islands of Samoa in September, starts this Monday, June 23, 2014, for four days of work at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York.
 
On the sidelines of this meeting, the Minister of tourism and the Culture of Seychelles, Alain Saint-Ange, was invited to participate as an intervener in a meeting on sustainable tourism in the context of SIDS and introduce the successful experience of the archipelago in this matter.
 
The meeting was thus organised at the initiative of UN bodies and the permanent representative of the archipelago of the Seychelles to the United Nations.
