Seychelles cordially invite the U.S. State Department to review its erroneous copy of the working conditions of some migrants in the archipelago
While the U.S. State Department pointed the finger at the middle of June in a report, the host of some of migrants working in the Seychelles in difficult conditions, placing the archipelago at the same level as Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, the Seychelles authorities and several NGOs on the ground today denounced an inventory truncated by an incorrect analysis of the actual situation and marked by "inaccuracies and misrepresentations".

The Seychelles authorities thus cordially invite the U.S. State Department to review its copy and rely solely on quantifiable data and verified in the field.

The U.S. State Department should according to the Seychelles official "improve its methodology and develop greater consistency and accuracy in the information provided to produce reports that can be used as a basis for assessing progress".
