Seychelles will be at FITUR Tourism Trade Fair in Madrid as the island's Minister St.Ange heads off to join Bernadette Willemin and staff at the Spanish Office

Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture left Seychelles on Wednesday evening for Madrid where he will be joined by Bernadette Willemin, the Seychelles Tourism Board Director for Europe and other staff from her Spanish Office to participate in FITUR, the Spanish Tourism Trade Fair .

Spain and Portugal have maintained their position as a steady tourism source market for Seychelles with visitors who are well to do and enjoy the upper end resorts and hotels of the islands. Such smaller source markets help the Seychelles in its diversity policy which help achieve visitor arrival numbers needed for the private sector trade.

In Madrid Minister St.Ange is expected to hold a meeting with Taleb Rifai, the Secretary General of the United nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) as well as address a Ministerial High Level Meeting on Tourism and Security as well as INVESTOUR, the Tourism Investment and Business Forum for Africa.

"We main committed to keep our Seychelles visible and will leave no stones unturned in our drive to keep our island's tourism industry relevant" said Minister St.Ange as he was leaving Seychelles enroute to Spain.
