Seychelles and Sri Lanka are stepping up their relationships




Relations between Sri Lanka and the Seychelles archipelago multiply these last months.
 
While the airline Mihin Lanka opens a serving to the archipelago from November 16, the financial institution Bank of Ceylon has recently opened an office in the Seychelles Victoria capital.

In addition, the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation company should follow them path, and at the same time that the sri Lankan Nawaloka Group also plans the creation of a hospital in the heart of the archipelago.
 
The authorities of Seychelles conducted on their side for the appointment of an honorary consul in Colombo, former Judge Peter Lal de Alwis and which has been at the head of the Sampath Bank PLC (Editor's Note: PLC, French equivalent of the Société anonyme or S.A.) for nearly ten years.

Prasantha Lal de Alwis is still part of the Board of Directors of the limited liability company Siyapatha Finance, a subsidiary of Sampath group, as indicated by the letter of the Indian Ocean.
