Seychelles: Zambia requires the Seychelles expertise for its first cultural festival

Strengthened by its success, the International Carnival of Victoria, Seychelles continues to attract the attention of countries around the world, particularly in Africa.

In the wake of the appointment lighthouse and colorful in the heart of the Vanilla Islands, Seychelles consolidated their reputation as a destination event tailor in the Indian Ocean.

For the 2013 edition of the International Carnival of Victoria, Zambia, South Africa and Mauritius have joined and the Seychelles and his co-organizers Reunion, Madagascar and Zimbabwe.

This first participation in the carnival has led Zambia to organize its first cultural festival from 7 to 9 June in Livingstone, relying on the Seychelles experience in the field.

Seychelles has been invited to participate in the event and a Seychellois cultural delegation is to be celebrated.
For the Zambian Ambassador in Seychelles, Mary Mildred Zambezi the Zambian festival was greatly influenced by Seychelles to set up the first festival in the heart of its territory.

"Zambia has learned a lot from Carnival of the Seychelles. On behalf of the Minister of Tourism of Zambia, I had the pleasure to invite Alain St. Ange, Minister of Tourism and Culture of Seychelles to come to Livingstone with a Seychellois delegation to promote the Seychelles culture at the cultural festival of Zambia. We have seen the success of the International Carnival of Victoria and learned the Seychelles. We admire the hard work and resources put in place by the Seychelles as a small nation for the realization of such a dramatic event in the world. We need the support and expertise of Seychelles for our first festival", said Mary Mildred Zambezi, Ambassador of Seychelles in Zambia.
