Seychelles: The international Carnival of Victoria in honour of the inside Africa of CNN International

The weekly show 'Inside Africa' of the American channel CNN International will make a comeback on May 16.17 and 18 on the last international Carnival of Victoria in the Seychelles which took place from 25 to 27 April 2014 in the heart of the archipelago.
With some twenty international cultural troops (1) present alongside many Seychellois chars, the festive event brought together the different communities around the world in a fraternal atmosphere.
The Minister of tourism and Culture of Seychelles and president of the Vanilla Islands, Alain Saint-Ange, explained in the aftermath of the festivities that this fourth edition has been unanimously praised by the press.

"We have been welcomed as a small island State which has been able to organise such a festive event with more than 50 chars and which has managed to bring together under a same banner the various communities around the world", said the Minister of tourism and the Culture of Seychelles, Alain Saint-Ange.
As a reminder, the opening ceremony which was held for the first time at the Victoria stadium was relayed by 151 accredited journalists from the four corners of the planet (2) and 84 bodies of press from around the world.
The international Carnival of Victoria was co-hosted for the 2014 edition by Reunion, Madagascar and Mayotte, who had joined the Seychelles as well as South Africa and the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
The festive event is engraved in capital letters in the calendar of the Vanilla Island (Reunion, Seychelles, Madagascar, Mauritius, Comoros, Mayotte and the Maldives).
