Seychelles: The first Airbus A320 in service at Air Seychelles




Air Seychelles has took possession on Sunday of its third of large aircraft, which will be operating in the heart of the regional service the national airline of the archipelago.
 
 
The first Airbus A320 aircraft rented along with crew on its main shareholder Etihad Airways and completely reconfigured with the colors of the Seychellois Company, will thus connect as from the beginning of the week with weekly rotations Mauritius and the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam airport, Mumbai (India), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) and Tananarive (Madagascar).
 
As a reminder, Air Seychelles has recorded a profit of 50 million dollars for the first six months of 2014 against 42 million dollars in the first half of 2013, slightly more than 19% increase.
 
184,101 passengers were transported against 146,980 passengers last year for the same calendar period.
 
Mahe-Praslin thus remains the primary link being served with 71,961 passengers. Abu Dhabi with 49 934 passengers and an increase in traffic of 90% leading to second place then follows Hong Kong with 24,142 passengers (73%), Johannesburg 22 218 passengers (+ 29%) and Mauritius 15 846 passengers (14, 4%).
