The Minister of tourism and Culture of Seychelles, Alain Saint-Ange, has been invited personally to participate in the work of the next meeting of the International Institute For Peace Through Tourism (IIPT) which will take place from 15 to 20 February 2015 in the municipality of Ekurhuleni in the heart of the Province of Gauteng in South Africa.
 
Alain Saint-Ange deliver a speech in the presence of the Secretary-General of the world Organisation of tourism (WTO), Jordan Taleb Rifai.
 
Three actors of non- violence, namely Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, will be celebrated in the wake of the 50th anniversary of the African Union, 20 years of South African democracy, and the 50th anniversary of civil rights legislation in the United States.
 
The International Institute For Peace Through Tourism thus want to mobilise all the global players in the travel industry and tourism, to make the largest industry in the world the first global industry to promote peace in the four corners of the planet.
 
Every traveller is potentially an ambassador for peace according to the International Institute For Peace Through Tourism.
 
"The Seychelles archipelago is now considered as never before. Yes, our visibility ensures that we remain relevant as a tourist destination, but also as a small island country where the life of a people is known to be a melting pot of cultures living in total harmony despite the difference of its ethnic origins and the difference in the color of the skin of its inhabitants and the religious orientations of its population. We thus remain a country that is an example living worldwide", said the Minister of tourism and Culture of the Seychelles, Alain St.Ange.
