Seychelles: The Chinese community in the archipelago celebrated the festival of the Moon in unity

A few days ago, the Chinese community in Seychelles celebrated the festival of Moon at the Embassy of China in the archipelago.
The Minister of tourism and Culture of Seychelles, Alain Saint-Ange, alongside the president of the Chinese Association of the archipelago, Charlie Ng Ping Chuen, notably put forward the unity of the Chinese community and the role played by the latter in the construction and development of Seychelles.
Alain Saint-Ange also pointed out that the pagoda of Victoria, demolished and rebuilt will soon be "a meeting point for all everyone and for all Seychellois of Chinese origin".
As a reminder, the festival of Moon is celebrated on the full moon of September, on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar.
This event corresponds to the period of harvest for farmers in China, benefiting from this ancestral feast to meet family and to celebrate prosperity and fertility of crops.
All Chinese families and gather on the feast of the moon to enjoy the moon cake and watching the full moon together.
