Seychelles: Symposium around an economic partnership between the archipelago and Northern France
The Seychelles authorities and the French region of Normandy are working together on the implementation of a possible economic partnership.
 
A symposium under the auspices of the Consulate of Seychelles in Normandy and the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Seychelles has gathered on Tuesday morning in the archipelago Seychellois and Normans entrepreneurs.
 
The Minister of finance, trade and industry of Seychelles, Pierre Laporte, opened the discussion.
 
The Minister of Social Affairs, community development and Sports Vincent Meriton, the Minister of natural resources, Peter Sinon as well as president of the Chamber of Commerce and industry, Marco Francis and the Deputy Director of the national Council of tourism, Nathalie Didon, also participated in the work, as reported by the Seychelles Nation newspaper.
 
Francis Herbet, honorary consul of Seychelles in Normandy, put forward on his side "a win-win partnership in a relationship of equal to equal".
