Seychelles: Meeting in September next in the heart of the archipelago of the Indian Ocean Rim

The Seychelles archipelago will host from 19 to 21 September 2014 a meeting of members of the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR - ARC) to support the development of the industry of tourism and travel at the heart of the Indian Ocean.
 
The initiative for this meeting in Seychelles is to the credit of the Minister of Tourism and Culture of the archipelago and former president of the Vanilla Islands, Alain St. Ange.
 
All the Ministers of tourism of the Member States will thus be present in Seychelles alongside the Secretary-General of IOR - ARC, K.V. Bhagirath, with the aim of strengthening and developing the tourism industry, through  vanilla Islands *, with substantial resources to develop a constructive strategy for the future of the regional Indian Ocean tourism.
 
Put at the center of the work, the leading role of the Indian Ocean, nerve center and pool of extraordinary growth for a reasoned and cooperative, regional tourism objective is clearly displayed.
 
As a reminder, the association composed of 19 Member States (India, Bangladesh, Australia, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Oman, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Seychelles) was created in 1997.
 
China, the Japan, Egypt, the France and Britain are also partners of the IOR - ARC.
