Seychelles: A second woman appointed to the Supreme Court of the archipelago

The Seychellois President James Michel has made the appointment in mid-week, of the magistrate Samia Govinden aged 42 years as a judge of the Supreme Court of the archipelago.
 
This is the second woman to sit on the highest court in the country after the fairer sex is also represented as court of appeal. "I feel this appointment as a response to the aspiration of the public, and I'm proud as a Seychellois, that I can help ... so that things can move forward in terms of justice," said Samia Govinden .
