Reunion: Reunion Island celebrates its record of diving in the Guinness of Records 2015

March 1, 2014, the island of Reunion celebrates its record of diving in the Guinness of Records 2015. On this occasion, a festive day is organised from 10: 00 to 23: 00 on the Brisants beach, in Saint-Gilles-les-Bains. 

The initiative of Group of professionals in the diving (ppm), 110 divers gathered on 1 December last in the Bay of Saint-Leu, in the West of Reunion Island. Their goal: make the record of the world's largest underwater human chain. This incredible feat has to be certified by the Guinness World Records for its 2015 edition.  

This certification will be highlighted on Saturday 1 March next in Saint-Gilles-les-Bains. An exceptional day will reunite on one part, Reunionese diving professional on the other hand, the essential artists of the local music scene.  
A world record in the symbol of the biodiversity of Reunion  
Through the world record, the G.P.P hopes to promote diving in Reunion. Second tourist activity in the island, scuba diving is something secure, managed by professionals. It is a source of pleasure both for neophytes who discover the seabed, only for regulars of the diving, familiar of marine fauna of Reunion. This Guinness world record also shows the undeniable link of solidarity that unites all the professionals of diving which works each day for the defense of biodiversity of Reunion.  
A festive day to honour the diving  
Saturday March 1, 2014, on the beach breakers, the GPP and the association Springboard Arts Reunion - which organises the event concert - will gather in a friendly atmosphere to educate the general public to the world of diving.
A concert for a record - program
10h-17h: animations dedicated to seabed
Stand Globice photo exhibition and discovery of marine mammals.
Stand Marine Reserve: information and presentation of the Marine Reserve. Photo exhibition on tarps.
Stand G.P.P.: Presentation of different levels of training, information on baptisms, dive sites and introduction to free baptisms.
17h-23h: 1 multi-artist concert of the year
With Zadig 2.0 Ritt, Fred Metayer, Gautier, Ziia, Les Salauds, Sofy Mazandira.
