Reunion Island at the workshop of the Overseas Club in Rome

From 1-3 October, the IRT (island of Reunion tourism) participated in the workshop of the Overseas club of Atout France organized in Rome. On-site, travel agents, tour operators and Italian journalists were present at the venue.

Organized by the overseas club from 1 to 3 October last, the IRT participated in a workshop in Rome where Italian and French tourist stakeholders were able to meet.

The objective of this working session: Exchange on the situation and the potential of the Italian market for overseas French destinations.

For William Techer, commercial at the IRT, it was to ensure the visibility of the island of Reunion, yet little known on the Italian market. On place, 77 travel agents, 12 tour operators, 31 journalists and 5 specialized operators MICE had made the trip.

At the heart of trade: the implementation of targeted actions for 2014, and particularly in terms of communication of the image of the island, with the aim of boosting sales to the Reunion destination.

Media present spoke of their editorial intentions with the ability to publish articles devoted to the island of Reunion via the asset France network, but also via the specialized press.
