Moderate tropical storm Amara is moving toward the Northwest at low speed




Tropical Depression which evolved at the North-Eastern coast of Mauritius and Reunion for the past few days, was called yesterday at 17:30 local time, Amara by the Mauritius Meteorological Service station Vacoas.
 
At 4:00 this morning Tuesday, December 17, 2013, moderate tropical storm Amara was positioned by the point 15.8 South and 72.0 East and moved westward at a speed of 7 km / h.
 
Moderate tropical storm Amara (995 hPa at the center) currently operates approximately 1,570 km from Mauritius, Reunion from1805 km and less than 990 km of Rodrigues.
 
The sustained wind speeds (about 1 minute) is of the order of 74 km / h gusting to 92 km / h.
