Mayotte: The next integration of Mayotte to the Commission of the Indian Ocean confirmed

Yolaine Costes, Vice-President of the Regional Council and President of the Comité de concertation regional "Indian Ocean" was confirmed at the weekend last in the general Council of Mayotte Mayotte Department must integrate the Indian Ocean Commission at the forthcoming Summit of the Indian Ocean Commission in Moroni being held July 26, 2014.

The 101st french Department will thus integrate the organisation whose bases were launched on 20 December 1982, in Port Louis in Mauritius and institutionalised January 10, 1984 of Victoria in the Seychelles agreement.
Mayotte will then join the Union of the Comoros, Reunion, Madagascar, Mauritius, and Seychelles as a member of the Commission of the Indian Ocean that defines and develops projects of regional economic cooperation.
