Mayotte: Reintroduction of native and endemic species of trees in the forest of Coconi

Botanists of the Conservatoire de Mascarin planted yesterday in the forest of Coconi several shoots of native and endemic trees part of the rare species listed in Mayotte, in the wake of a program aimed at their reintroduction in the wild.

Dubbed operation "Arboretum patrimoniaux Maoré" thus comes within the framework of the tasks assigned to the Conservatoire botanique de Mayotte.
Two Coconi high school classes also took part in this backup operation of the Mahoran flora, which the Comoros and Sari lychee, Takamaka as Le journal de Mayotte newspaper relates.
