Mayotte: Passenger traffic decreased slightly between January and June 2015

The number of passengers upon arrival and departing from the airport Dzaoudzi Pamandzi in Mayotte remained virtually stable for the first six months of 2015. Between January and June, 146,236 passengers have been identified, representing a slight decrease of 0.36%.
The airport officials had nevertheless expected an increase in traffic of 5% but Air Madagascar cancellations during the school holidays in April had a negative effect especially on the first six months of the year.
301,226 passengers had been accounted off transit in 2014, rose by 3.2% after the increase in traffic of 9.3% in 2013.
Over the reference period, air freight recorded growth of its activities with 786.5 tons accumulated. The postal freight is down compared to the same calendar period of last year, with 349.4 tons from January to June 2015.
