Mayotte: Overload heavy goods vehicles in the crosshairs of the Environment Directorate

Overload heavy good vehicles cause damage to the roads of Mayotte, sometimes with a 30% overload of the thresholds authorized under the direction of the Environment, Planning and Housing (IEB).
An information meeting intended for professionals of transportation about the various regulations on the matter was held on Thursday morning thus the General Council of Mayotte.
Eric Batailler, deputy director of the IEB, the Mahoran road network must now deal with the proliferation of overloaded trucks on the roads of the island.
Measures such as strict enforcement of fines for this purpose as well as reinforcing controls near the port of Longoni, strategic crossing point to curb the phenomenon were discussed among all stakeholders in the sector.
