Mayotte: Opening of a point of access to the right at Majicavo prison

The departmental Committee of access to law (CDAD) that has emerged in June 2013 in Mayotte opens a new welcome point located at the heart of Majicavo prison to inform detainees of their rights.
The director of the house arrest of Majicavo , Pascal Bruneau, to provide a venue "with the same access to information externally, freedom and less" in collaboration with the tribunal de Grande Instance and the prison service integration and probation (SPIP).
Information about the rights of custody of children or concerning requests for lawyers will be available on-site.
The filings can be also saved in a first time once per month, says Brian hatch-Thershan, responsible of mission within the CDAD.
Not to mention all the issues of detainees on legal aid, obtaining nationality or marital status of various formalities.
In the wake of the opening of the access points to the right, an agreement was also signed to implement the prison Majicavo a monthly free legal advice from lawyers since November, as reports the newspaper of Mayotte.
