Mayotte: A giant personage in newsprint, measuring 10 meters, made by students of grades 4

A teacher of Kaweni in Grande-Terre in Mayotte recently made his 25 students of grade 4 work as activity of end of the school year, on the making of a giant personage shaped in newsprint and measuring 10 meters once reconstituted on the floor of the school.
A work of art that required an entire afternoon of newspapers collage that had been carefully prepared in advance through a selective sorting: pages in black and white to make the body of the giant personage and colored pages to represent clothing, as reported in the online newsapaer Mayotte Hebdo.
"Each year, we make performances of songs and dances. For a change, I offered students the idea which they liked despite their skepticism ... It is a real artistic approach they have created the work, then presented it to the public, "said Elhad Dahalani, the teacher and artist in his spare time ...
