Mauritius wants to entice more Norwegian tourists

The Office of tourism of Mauritius (Mauritius Tourism Promotion authority) wants to seduce more Norwegian tourists and other travellers from Scandinavian countries to visit the island.
Especially since the last tourist attendance figures highlighted a fall of 6.9% of Norwegian tourists, which would be due mostly to the lack of a direct air line between Mauritius and the Norway, as the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius relates.
The Mauritian tourist authorities are thus currently promoting the opening by November next a bond between the two countries and operated by the Tuifly Nordic Company.
"In all countries (Editor's Note: Italy, Germany) where direct lines to Mauritius have been removed, we found a decrease in the number of tourists. This is the main factor. In regards to Norway, we expect an increase by November, when we will have direct flights", stressed the Minister of tourism of Mauritius, Michael Sik Yuen.
