Mauritius victim of coastal erosion according to Japanese experts

Mauritius would have seen its coasts reduced by 10% since the 60s and lose 50% of its coral within a decade according to the conclusions of a study conducted by experts from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and that, due to coastal erosion.

The JICA experts decode since 2012 the satellites of Mauritius cards. The most affected regions by the phenomenon are Albion and Bel Ombre. The final report of this study will be delivered during the month of June.
