Mauritius strongly wants to increase its exports of fish export markets

The Mauritian authorities wish to strongly increase their export of fish on the external markets and reach 120,000 tonnes in 2014. 
f these export figures are confirmed in fact by the end of the year, the seafood would thus represent more than 20% of the total exports of the island. 
In 2013, according to the official body, Mauritius Statistics, exports from  Mauritius in the fisheries sector were drained in their wake 108.547 tons of fish and products derived from the sea for a turnover of 14.6 billion rupees *, as reported the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper. 

* One euro roughly equivalent to 41 rupees
