Mauritius soon connected to a third underwater optical fiber cable

After the SAFE underwater cable in 2002, and the Lower Indian Ocean Network, eight years later, Mauritius will shortly be connected to a third optical fiber cable.
This connection will thus help to increase the use of bandwidth and should lead to reduced price of Internet on the island.
The Government plans to establish nine cities entirely connected "Smart Cities", five technology parks along with a new cyber city should also be greatly promoted in the future, says on the side of the Department of Technology.
