Mauritius does not include the French list of tax havens
Mauritius is not a tax haven... The country as an international financial center promotes the exchange of information", stresses in the newspaper Le Matinal, Gérard Sanspeur, Director of the Association of Trust and Management Companies (ATMC).

Often singled out externally for its opacity of transactions, the Mauritian financial centers are not placed on the French list of 17 countries considered tax havens.
The Mauritian authorities can thus continue to benefit from the aid of funding from the French Development Agency for these projects on the island.

Pascal Canfin, Minister Delegate in charge of the development had thus revealed in an interview to the magazine La Tribune, at the end of May last, the countries that integrate this French list of seventeen tax havens identified by France with include Switzerland.

The other pinned countries are the Lebanon, Panama, but also Botswana, Brunei, the Guatemala, the Marshall Islands, Montserrat, Nauru, Niue, the Philippines, Costa Rica, Dominica, the United Arab Emirates, Liberia, Trinidad and Tobago and Vanuatu.

The banks of these countries will henceforth distribute the French public aid granted through cooperation French Development Agency.
