Mauritius at the head of the African countries for economic transformation

Mauritius is thus positioned before the South Africa in second place. The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) is established on different economic parameters.
 
The diversification of production and markets, the competitiveness of exports, human well-being, productivity as well as technological improvement are thus taken into account for the final classification of 21 countries of the African continent.
 
Mauritius climbs to the first position in the first three criteria (diversification of production and markets, export competitiveness, and human well-being), and ranks second to productivity.
 
In terms of technological improvement, Mauritius is ranked 14th for this single parameter, as reported in the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
