Mauritius at the head of competitiveness in the Indian Ocean and Africa

Mauritius jumped to the six places in one year in the last world rankings 2014-2015 World Economic Forum (WEF), bearing on the competitiveness of some 144 countries listed.
Mauritius thus positions itself in the 39th place in the ranking and however is at the head in the Indian Ocean and Africa zone.
This ranking of WEF reference is based on various criteria including inter alia reforms, bank credit, good governance, technological innovation, as reported in the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
Institutions, infrastructure, macroeconomic policy, health system and education, fluidity and efficiency of markets, excellence of Mauritian companies and many other pillars of competitiveness of Mauritius was passed to sift through.
