According to a recent study conducted by the parastatal organisation HRDC * managing human resources in Mauritius, there is a gap between the aspirations of young graduates to get a job and the current market demand on the island.
Young Mauritians thus have great difficulty to get a job and employers also have their part to difficulties in recruiting staff with the skills required to fill the available positions or vacant.
A brainstorming session was held this Thursday, November 6, 2014 by the HRDC upstream from students from the University of Mauritius and this, to better understand their aspirations and perceptions of the world of work, including their choice of career as indicated by the Le Matinal newspaper.
