Mauritius: Warning cyclone class 2, tropical storm Edilson continues to get closer to the island

A class 2 cyclone warning was issued at 13:30 local, this Wednesday, February 5, 2014, in Mauritius in the wake of moderate tropical storm, Edilson.
Moderate tropical storm, Edilson, located 370 km in the East-North-East of the island at 13 hours local time by points 17.2 south and 59.6, continues to intensify while approaching Mauritius.
The Meteor moving Southwards at 10 km/h still represents a potential threat to the island according to the meteorological station of Vacoas services which also provide an increase in the speed of movement of Edilson in the next hours.

Heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms sometimes should touch Mauritius in the coming hours and gusts of between 80 km/h to 100 km/h and rough seas are also previewed.
As a reminder, at 10 hours local time a warning cyclone class 1 was issued to Rodrigues Island.
