Mauritius: Two main indices of the stock exchange of Mauritius still green

The stock market activities in Mauritius had been marked by a new rise in its two main indexes SEMDEX (1) and SEMTRI (2). 
At the closure of the market Friday, August 8, 2014, SEMDEX index reached in close session 2106,17 points rise of 8.31 points in a week.
Meanwhile, the SEMTRI index closed at 6814 points, also increased by 26.88 points.
At the closure of the market, the market capitalisation was estimated at 231,58 billion rupees (3).
Since the beginning of the year 2014, the net amount of foreign investment (purchases minus sales) was estimated at 192 million rupees.
On 49 securities, 19 titles have increased during the past week, 19 tracks have maintained their position and 11 titles have posted a decline, as reported by the newspaper Le Matinal.
As a reminder, the stock exchange of Mauritius, of which the SEMDEX index jumped to 21% in 2013, raised capitals for these past four years totaling more than 45 billion rupees and have served to develop the companies listed on the stock market.

(2) index SEMTRI (Stock Exchange of Mauritius Total Return Index), created in October 2002 incorporates the performance of the overall market with dividends and capital gains  
(3) one euro roughly equivalent to 41 rupees
