Mauritius: Tourist arrivals up for the month of May 2013
Tourist arrivals in Mauritius rose for the month of May 2013, with an increase of 4.5%.

The top five markets in terms of passengers, 68% of tourist arrivals on the island were France (15,005), South Africa (5418), UK (7657), Reunion (15,120) and India (7499).

In the first five months of 2013, 416,557 tourists have thus deposited their suitcase in Mauritius, against 412,528 travelers during the same calendar period in 2012, from January to May

European visitors from Europe declined by 5.4% (241,311) in the first five months of the year when in May 2013 the

European tourism on the rise again, with 4.2% of increase.

Asian tourist arrivals continue to rise with an increase of 12.4% recorded between January and May 2013.
