Mauritius: Tourist arrivals in the month of August, 2014 in growth of 6.8% with a recovery of the European market

According to the latest official figures of the Organisation Statistics Mauritius, Mauritius hosted 78.475 tourists in August 2014, an increase of more than 6.8% over the month of August 2013 where 73.454 travellers had been counted. 

Thus from January to August 2014, these are thus 651.107 tourists who landed in Mauritius against 622.492 passenger in 2013, an increase of 4.6%. 
The European tourist market has increased by 12.8% in August 2014, in the wake of tourist arrivals coming from the United Kingdom who have jumped by 20.5%. 11.587 British travellers visited Mauritius in August 2014. 

The metropolitan France market is also growing with 14.643 visitors (11.1%) and the German tourists were 4.270 travellers to visit in Mauritius in August 2014 (17.7%). 
11.129 Reunionese travelers also landed in the island of Mauritius in August 2014, an increase of 2.2%. 
For its part, the Chinese market has recorded a further increase of 37% with 1.719 listed more visitors and some 44.877 Chinese travellers were counted for the eight months of the year 2014, either a une hausse increase of 72.3%, as reported by the site.

As a reminder, the tourist arrivals to Mauritius grew by 2.9% in 2013 with 993.106 registered visitors. 
The official agency, Statistics Mauritius, provided a few weeks ago, an increase of tourist arrivals in 2014, with an increase of 3.7% and approximately 1.030.000 travelers who should visit Mauritius this year.
