Mauritius: Tourist arrivals in February 2015 climb up by more than 15% in one year

91,128 tourists arrived in Mauritius on vacation in February 2015. They were 78 984 one year earlier, an increase of 15.4%. The European market alone represents 56,770 passengers up by 10.6%.
British travelers (7855 arrivals) thus experienced an increase of 16.4% in one year while visitors from mainland France increased by 7.4%, with 28,081 registered travelers. For their part, the tourists have been Reunionese 4974 visitors to visit the sister island during this period against 5.094 passengers counted in February 2014 (-2.4%).
In addition, 12,074 Chinese tourists traveled to Mauritius in February 2015, a strong increase of 76.8%, while South African visitors recorded growth of 17.6% with 4927 arrivals. Indian tourists were 6.142 to travel in Mauritius an increase of 20.4%.
As a reminder, 1,038,968 tourists had landed in Mauritius last year, an increase of 4.6% in comparison with tourist arrivals recorded in 2013 and 993,106 tourists recorded.
