Mauritius: Three foreign citizens sentenced to imprisonment for a vast fake credit card fraud

Mauritian justice condemned earlier this week a British citizen aged for 25 years and his two Romanians accomplices of 31 years to nine months in prison for a vast fraud of false credit card.

The trio had been arrested in late last may after completing significant withdrawals of money, via false banking cards in several ATMs in the region of Grand-Baie and Pereybere (North of Mauritius), for a total prejudice of 745.000 rupees (18.625 euros).

The counterfeiters had thus put in place a computer trick well prowled before the suspicion of a bank employee who had immediately alerted the police, as indicated by the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.

The three stooges "planted" the terminal software ATMs and then transfer the data secure and secret code to new customers freshly cloned credit cards.
