Mauritius: The turnover of Air Mauritius during the months of April to June 2014 increase of 5.3%




 
The Mauritian National airline company Air Mauritius, recorded losses valued at 6.9 million euro in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2014-2015 for the months of April to June 2014.
 
However, for Air Mauritius this result conducted in the low tourist season is to be taken into account in the wake of a financial improvement of 1.4 million euro in comparison to the previous period of the fiscal year 2013-2014.
 
The turnover of Air Mauritius during the first quarter of the current fiscal year is meanwhile an increase of 5.3% compared with last year, with 104.3 million euro over the period.
 
298.624 passenger were thus transported for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2014-2015, that is, 19.515 additional passengers (7%) as well as 8.770 tons of cargo, increase of 15.5%, as indicated by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
 
As a reminder, after two fiscal years of difficulty, Air Mauritius had registered net profits of 7.3 million euro for fiscal year 2013-2014 in the wake of a turnover valued at some 459 million euro.
