Mauritius: The thief traced back after activating the iPad of the Minister

Police arrested yesterday afternoon, a recidivist of 29 years following the burglary committed in the night of January 2 at the Hotel of Trou-Aux-Biches. The thief has been traced after activating the iPad made available of the Minister of Housing and Lands by the State of Mauritius.

Minister Abu Kasenally dined in the company of his family members when the suite they occupied in this hotel has been burgled.

A search of at the residence of the recidivist allowed investigators to recover the stolen objects, including mobile phones and tablets. The latter confessed.

The recidivist was to be presented in court today. Other suspects are also wanted by the police in this case, as reported by the newspaper L'Express.

Another alleged suspect, of 31 years, driver, was arrested last Wednesday. The latter, already listed by the police, has claimed his right to remain silent in the presence of his lawyer.
