Mauritius: The seriously injured receiver of the fatal accident at Sorèze claims 375,000 euros in damages to the national transportation company
The recipient seriously injured during the terrible bus accident the National Transport Company (NTC), on May 3 at Sorèze in the region of Pailles in the North West of Mauritius, which caused the death 10 people and left 43 injured, claiming his employers the sum of 15 million rupees (375,000 euros) through a notice to pay addressed to the NTC.
 
In this document, the recipient on sick leave since the accident and denounced in early July that he has not yet received his salary in June, declares that the driver died in the tragedy, and himself had alerted several times their hierarchical superiors about the defective condition of the braking system of the type Blue Line bus.
 
The receiver thus considers that the NTC failed in its duty to ensure safety of its employees in the performance of their work, as indicated by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
 
As a reminder, the recipient had said during his interrogation in the police at the beginning of June, the bus implicated in the fatal accident of Sorèze suffered major problems and repeated at the brakes, and that, from mid-December 2012.
