Mauritius: The pumping operation of fuel tanks of the Malaysian boat aground in Saint Brandon starts this Saturday

The pumping operations around the Malaysian fishing vessel * washed up on the reefs in the atoll of Saint Brandon on Sunday 1 February, are scheduled for Saturday.
In the holds of the ship, approximately 25,000 liters of fuel oil still threatens to spill into the lagoon if the boat hull came to break. No visible cracks were detected for the time being. The pumping of oil contained in the tanks should last about ten days before the fishing vessel is refloated later.
