Mauritius: The pension age for over 186,000 beneficiaries in 2015

The Mauritian authorities will unlock an envelope of 967.7 million rupees each month * for the payment of universal old age pension, an annual programmed budget of 11.6 billion rupees.
186,921 beneficiaries on the island are now concerned with the monthly installment of the minimum old age pension in 2015. 183,660 recipients between 60 and 89 years will receive Rs 5,000, those aged between 90 and 99 years with the number of 3155 will be awarded a sum of 15,000 rupees month, and 106 centenarians of Mauritius will be entitled to payment of 20,000 rupees monthly.
According to official statistical analyzes, the Mauritian government in 2053 will have to pay 18.7 billion rupees to about 356,000 beneficiaries. By forty years, the Ministry of Health of Mauritius provides that 30% of people will have more than 60 years, nearly a third of the population of Mauritius, with a life expectancy of 80 years for women and 75 for men.
