Mauritius: The offices of the anti-corruption commission secured by the police to avoid the destruction of important papers

Police officers were deployed this Monday morning outside the offices of the Anti-Corruption Commission of Mauritius (Independent Commission Against Corruption - ICAC).
The police deployed prevented the staff from entering premises situated at the northern entrance of Port Louis. Only the reception was open to employees.
This police action intervenes while the director of the ICAC, Anil Kumar Ujoodha, received at the end of last week the letter of dismissal. Three other institutional frameworks have also been pushed out.
According to L'Express of Mauritius who unveiled the information, the new government in place would have been afraid of seeing important papers being destroyed within the ICAC.
