Mauritius: The most ancient high security prison in the island soon turned into a Museum

The most ancient prison of Mauritius, La Bastille, will close its doors in a few weeks and will see a museum replace it on the current site.
Considered potentially dangerous inmates were imprisoned, which has maintained a long years during the reputation of this prison located in Phoenix.
Built at the time of the French Revolution, the Bastille prison hosts today only a dozen detainees to be transferred soon within the high security of the new prison of Melrose district, as reported by the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
