Mauritius: The inflation rate rising at the end August 2014 on the island

Inflation has increased over the last twelve months in Mauritius. The rate of inflation estimated at 3.9% in July reached 4% in August 2014.
Meanwhile, the annual inflation rate has grown from 3.1 to 3.8%.
The consumer price index reached 107.2 points at the end of August compared to 106.8 points recorded a month earlier.
An increase which is caused by the prices of vegetables as well as those related to automobiles. The price of fuels in Mauritius has it decreased slightly during this period, as reported by Business Magazine.
