Mauritius: The hotel industry finding colors with the resumption of European tourism for the first quarter 2015

The heads of various hotel establishments rub their hands together. The tourist industry seems to be recovering in Mauritius in the wake of a slight economic recovery in the euro area.
Tourist arrivals during the first quarter of 2015 with respect to the same calendar period from last year have increased by 11%. 291,329 tourists walked the Mauritian soil during this period. The arrivals of European tourists from France, UK and Germany in particular have experienced growth of 13%.
The main hotel groups consequently display the financial results increased in the first quarter 2015, as New Mauritius Hotels with 2.1 billion rupees * harvested or Sun Resorts which displays a turnover of 920 million rupees and also the Constance Hotels and Resorts group which accumulated 475 million rupees during the first three months of fiscal year 2015.
