Pravind Jugnauth, the former Minister of finance, now in opposition and leader of the MSM (Mauritian Socialist Movement), was again reconvened last weekend at the headquarters of the police in the Casernes central of Port-Louis.

Prosecuted for sedition, Pravind Jugnauth responded to questions of investigators for 16 hours due to defamatory comments made against the Government he has accused of being "a pedophile Government" during a recent press conference.

Laden words with meaning which followed the alleged sex scandal "Mauritius Institute of Training and Development", where a 30-year-old teacher had sexual relations with a minor student under 14. Serious facts that appear to have resulted to any administrative penalty for the offending teacher an incriminate time and reinstated his post in June 2012.

Pravind Jugnauth pointed the finger at the active role of two Ministers of the current Government, relatives of the teacher and who reportedly tried to cover-up. "We must fight to protect girls who are victims... I brought plenty of evidence to the police. Now that most of the work is done, I hope that the police will be able to take the necessary steps. I would also like that an investigation be open on all the tracks disclosed", Pravind Jugnauth said at the exit of his interrogation.
